The Vainglorious Community is more than just a simple crew on GTA Online or one platform. Our community includes these forums, our discord server, a Steam group, fans of Brandon72MO's YouTube channel, and the GTA Online crew. If you haven't done so already, you can join the GTA Online crew by clicking here. You do not have to be part of our GTA Online crew to join the community but, if you play GTA Online, we would love it if you were. When it comes to GTA Online, if you have The Vainglorious set as your active crew you will be able to play with other crew members in GTA Online. Players from all platforms are welcome to join, however we will do regular crew purges to ensure we only have active players in our ranks. If you are an active player and you get kicked, you can simply re-join. If you want to make sure you are never kicked during these purges, then become active in crew events, this community, and don't do things that could get you permanently banned. Read on for more details: 1. Community Guidelines2. Racing Guidelines3. Crew Event Guidelines4. The Monthly Purge5. Handling Problem Players6. Consequences for Problem Players
7. Discord Text & Chat GuidelinesAt the outset, I have to give a TON of credit to Broughy1322 of Nonchalant Dominance. He and his crew run an excellent, tight-knit community and much of what appears below, throughout our community, and the very presence of our crew on freeforums, is based off of, if not nearly entirely lifted from, the things he and his crew are doing very, very right in their community. I sincerely hope they won't be too pissed at me for "borrowing" so much of their hard work. Revised June 20, 2016.

The Vainglorious Community Guidelines
The Vainglorious Community strives to keep harmony among players to ensure that everyone can have a good time. To help make this possible, we have a few guidelines that you should keep in mind. If you are a member of The Vainglorious Community (that is, you've joined this site), we assume you have read these guidelines in full and will do your best to follow them. A lot of these guidelines are specific to GTA Online, but many also cover these forums, our discord server, and other Vainglorious outlets.
1. Stay positive. No hate speech, ranting at fellow members, killing crews members over and over, trolling, etc. The blue crew ring around a player's icon on the GTA minimap indicates that this player is a friend and they should be treated as such (crew only lobbies may be exceptions to the latter, but battle should be still be friendly).
2. Play clean. When playing with fellow crew members, don't abuse passive mode, don't use heavy armor or bulletproof helmets when battling each other, don't spawn camp or base camp, do not kill a crew member with a bounty (unless they give you clear, spoken permission to do so), and generally don't be antisocial (that is, don't be a douche). If you're "battling" with a crew member and they ask you to stop, respect their request.
3. Race clean. When racing with crew members, you should try to race as clean as possible. This means you will not intentionally crash into other players, waiting for them if you cause them to crash (accidentally or not), not driving backwards or sitting idle in the middle of the track, not quitting just because you're losing, and generally racing fair. See Racing Guidelines for more information.
4. No GTA Online Modding. If you are a modder, or if you have a modded game profile or money that you actively sought out from a modder, we do not want you in our crew or community. Part of being Vainglorious is having the skills to earn your RP, K/D, and in-game cash legitimately. Proof of modding is one of the only things that will result in an immediate and permanent ban from our community and crew. You will also be reported to Rockstar and the appropriate game platform for tampering/cheating/modding. Mod to your heart's content in single player, but don't bring that to the online game.
5. Remember that everyone has different interests. Our crew is made up of people who enjoy different aspects of the game from racing, to flying, to deathmatches and beyond. We encourage you to meet up with different crew members to take advantage of everything GTA, and even other games, has to offer. But remember that it's not all about one particular game mode.
6. Be respectful. The Vainglorious Community should be a place where everyone feels welcome. This means you will not use any hate speech, including sexist, homophobic, and racist speech. If someone tells you something you have said is offensive, you should apologize and not repeat it again. If you have a disagreement, keep it in private and keep it constructive. Do not purposefully try to instigate conflict or annoy someone.
7. Handle problems appropriately. If you have a problem with another community member for any reason then follow the steps in the "Handling Problems" section of this thread. Do not make your complaint in public.
8. You must be at least 13 years old to be part of The Vainglorious. Joining these forums, creating a Rockstar Social Club profile (a requirement for playing GTA and joining a Crew), and creating a Discord account all have the same age requirement. Do not join if you are under 13. If it is discovered that you are under 13 years old, you will be banned and report on all appropriate platforms for violating their age requirements.
If you are unable to follow these guidelines you will receive a message (on the forums, on the discord server, on the Rockstar Social Club page and/or, when possible, on your gaming platform), reminding you of how we prefer to handle things. If you find that you are still unable to follow these guidelines, you can be temporarily or even permanently banned from crew events, games, or the entire community. See "Consequences for Problem Players" to learn more.

Racing GuidelinesThese Racing Guidelines apply to all GTA Online race lobbies and organized racing events hosted by members of The Vainglorious unless stated otherwise in event threads or verbally in game chat. The Cars In general, you can use any vehicle with any combination of in-game car modifications from Los Santos Customs, Beeker's Garage and/or Benny's Original Motor Works. The only exception is when the host or a racing event requires specific vehicles or modification restrictions. The Tracks
If you are hosting races you are free to choose any track(s) you like and as a member you are free to accept or ignore invitations to those races. You may want to keep your audience in mind, however, and realize that stunt races and wall rides may not be as appealing to some players as they are to others. When racing, the boundaries of a track are set by the creator using props and checkpoints. You can go anywhere on the track within those confines as long as you continue racing cleanly. Don't Quit If you join a race, a playlist of races, or a crew event you are expected to participate the entire time. This means you will not quit, stop in the middle of the track, or "just go for a drive" off the track, even if you are in last place. We understand that disconnections happen from time to time, but if you frequently leave a race and blame it on disconnections, we may investigate further to determine if your disconnections happen only during races or are an issue for you throughout the entire game. The Race1. If the race is set to Standard (that is, a contact race, our preferred setting for races with crew members) extra skill is required in overtaking and defending your position. This does not mean that contact is allowed or encouraged. Racing will sometimes result in some side by side rubbing, but this does not mean you can knock someone off their racing line or cause them to crash. If this happens, accidentally or not, you are expected pull to the side of the track, out of the way of other racers, and wait for the person you hit to get back into their position ahead of you. You should also verbally apologize if you are in voice chat together. 2. Driving backwards on the track and/or intentionally ramming people off the road is not allowed. You will be permanently kicked from the crew rather quickly if you do this. We don't want you trolling here. 3. If you crash off the track, be aware of other racers before you re-enter the track. This means waiting for oncoming racers to pass and making sure you re-enter the track without getting in another racer's way. If you cause another racer to crash when re-entering the track, you must pull over and wait for the racer you hit. 4. If you are about to be lapped by the leaders of the race, safely move over to one side of the track and allow them to pass you without losing too much time. Do not try to block or defend against race leaders who are trying to lap you. 5. Our crew has racers of all skill levels. If you get stuck behind someone who is slower than you, they are not required to allow you to pass, though they may make that decision on their own if they choose to. It is up to you, as the faster racer, to engage your racing skill to find a way to safely overtake a slower racer. It is not an excuse to become angry at them or try to knock them off the track. 6. If someone is attempting to overtake you on the inside and they are more than half way alongside your car as you go to turn into the corner you must give the room on the inside. You cannot turn into them. On the flip side, if you are not far enough up the inside when attempting an overtake you should back out of the move so that you do not cause a crash. 7. If you are on the outside of someone going into a corner and you are not at least fully alongside their car you should back out of your move as the racer on the inside is justified in taking their racing line and not leaving you room. If you do not back out of your move and crash, the crash is entirely your fault. On the flip side, if someone is fully alongside you on the outside going into a corner you should give a full car width space to make their move. 8. You can only make one move on a straight to defend your position. You may not weave from side to side to try prevent someone from overtaking you. General Racing Guidelines1. While we are Vainglorious, don't let your ego overtake you. If you're racing against more skilled racers, don't expect to win. Instead, look at it as a way to improve your own racing skills. You may also consider asking more skilled racers to take the time, after the race, to re-run the track at a slower pace, giving you pointers on where you can improve. We're easy going and most people will take the time to help you out. 2. Look to good resources to improve your racing knowledge. Broughy1322's Racing School is a GREAT resource, as is " The Rules of Racing." I will eventually post a summary of general racing etiquette that I have picked up from racing school, real life racing, and other racing games. Once that thread is posted, if you are ever in doubt you can post a question and we will figure it out together. Finally, remember that we are not a racing crew only. While we have a lot of racers who take it very seriously, we do a lot of other stuff too. Our main goal is to create a community where everyone feels welcome and can have a good time. We will celebrate your lap times and wins with you, but there's more to our community than that.

Crew Event GuidelinesScheduling an Event1. Check the calendar. Be certain that no other crew event is already scheduled for your platform at the same time you want to schedule one. Also, talk to crew members to find out what time works best for them. 2. Use the Event Submissions board to post your event. A Commissioner will take a look at it to make sure it has everything we need. If it's not quite up to par, you will receive a message from a Commissioner with suggestions on what can be changed. Once your event is approved, it will be moved to the Scheduled Events board. 3. To submit a new event, create a new thread on Event Submissions with the subject in the following format: [Platform] Event Name - Date, Time. The platforms are PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. Specify any special rules or conditions in the text of your new thread (see General Event Guidelines below for more information). Here's an example of a properly formatted thread subject for your event: 4. Use only UTC time. You can visit time.is/UTC to convert your local time to UTC. We use UTC since we have members all over the world and posting everything in our own respective local time zones could become very confusing. See below for more information on times. 5. Notify your participants. Once members have signed up for your event, post a reply using user tags to remind them of the event. User tags are explained on Forum Support. 6. If your event spans multiple days, put the date and times of each in your original Event Submissions thread. Postponing, Cancelling, and Changing Dates1. If you must postpone, cancel, or change the date or time of your event, let your participants know by replying to your event thread in Scheduled Events. Tag each member in your reply. 2. Tag a commissioner in your reply so they can update the calendar. 3. Events that are repeatedly postponed will be cancelled by a commissioner. Ending an Event
1. When your event is over, edit your original post and change and add "COMPLETED" before the platform name in the subject line. Here's an example of what that would look like: 2. Post a reply to your original post stating that the event is over, thanking your participants, and tagging and congratulating the winner(s), if any. Also tag a commissioner so they can move the event to Completed Events. 3. Event threads that are not posted in for over one week will be considered abandoned and moved to Completed Events. General Event Guidelines1. Be specific. Make it very clear exactly which tracks, missions, jobs, or other activity will be included in your event. Specify the game settings that will be used for your race/job/mission. The more information you include the better your event will run because everyone will know what to expect. Several example events will be posted and stickied at the top of the Events Submission forum to give you an idea of what should be included. 2. Avoid long events. It might seem like a good idea at first, but scheduling events over multiple days, weeks, or even months can make it very difficult for people to commit to the entire event. 3. Short events are fine. A few shorter races or one long race is a good place to start, especially if you are new to hosting events. Note that events do not have to include races. An event can be anything you would like to schedule. 4. If you are a first time event host, you will be limited to a one day event ONLY. Once you have shown that you can successfully host a short event you will be allowed to host longer events. 5. You are the host so you are responsible for ensuring your event runs smoothly and dealing with any disputes that might arise. Follow the Handling Problem Players guidelines if things get too out of hand. 6. Keep your participants informed by tagging them in update replies to your original event thread. 7. All Vainglorious Community Guidelines apply to events. If your event includes races, Vainglorious Racing Guidelines will be assumed to be in effect unless you make other rules clear in your original post. 8. You can only host one event at a time. If you post more than one event, only the first event posted will be considered and the second (or third or more) events will not be reviewed until the first event is complete. TimesTime zones can become very confusing very quick, so it is simpler to use one universally recognized time standard for community events. UTC is the most common time standard in use around the world, especially for organizations and groups that span multiple time zones. If you need help figuring out what UTC time to use for your event, check here or ask for help in the Support board. We hope you have a successful event because they go a long way to helping us continue building our community. If you need help scheduling an event please don't hesitate to contact a commissioner.

The Membership Purge
Our GTA Online crew is growing quite rapidly and this section applies mainly to the GTA Online crew. A lot of this growth is the result of people joining The Vainglorious Crew so they can be included in YouTube live streams. While there's nothing wrong with that motivation for joining, our crew was not created just to be a means to invite people for live streams. From the start, the goal for The Vainglorious has been to create a community of players that know they will always have people to play with in GTA Online and even other games without having to worry about modders, griefers, and trolls. To help make certain that our crew ranks are filled with active members we have decided to enact a membership crew purge. If you never sign up for this forum, which is our official community site, or ever use our Discord server, then it is very likely that you will be kicked from the crew when one of these purges takes place. Members kicked from the crew during a purge will receive a message on Rockstar Social Club explaining that they were kicked during our membership purge and and a link to our forums so they can find out how to avoid being kicked in future purges. Of course anyone is welcome to re-join the crew if they have been kicked, but you can avoid this inconvenience by signing up for these forums and completing the steps found here. If you have not been playing GTA Online for a while or have not been active with the crew in-game, then you might not even notice that you have been kicked. That makes this system an effective way to ensure that only people who are truly inactive players remain out of the crew. If you do sign up for this forum and complete the steps necessary to be promoted to Representative (see the link in the paragraph above this one), you will be safe from being kicked as long as you do not show any signs of prolonged inactivity. Before the purge takes place each month, we will check to see if any crew representatives have been inactive on our forums for over a month. If they have, then they will be demoted back down to Muscle and kicked with everyone else at that rank during the purge. NOTE: If you have special circumstances that you know will result in prolonged inactivity, please notify a commissioner beforehand to avoid being kicked. The only members at the Muscle rank who will not be kicked will be those who joined the crew less than one week before the purge occurs. The membership purge will take place when the crew reaches it's maximum (1,000 members) or when it becomes apparent that there are numerous inactive members. Doing this purge means that our crew ranks are full of the most active members in the crew almost all of the time. Of course if you do not follow our crew guidelines it won't matter how active you are; you could still find yourself being temporarily or permanently banned. But for most people, if you are kicked during the purge and are actually still active in the crew but have not joined the forums then you are welcome to rejoin.Further Promotions & DemotionsFurther promotions beyond Representative are possible for active members who demonstrate that they are truly Vainglorious. You can be promoted without ever signing up for these forums but it's a lot easier to show your active involvement if you do. You can also be demoted or banned for not following the guidelines, so, play nice. Commissioners will make decisions on promotions and demotions in super-dee-duper hush-hush meetings based on reports from other players and their own experiences with crew members. The following are just a few of the ways you could be promoted or demoted.Way to be promoted
- Keep The Vainglorious as your active crew most of the time.
- Have an Official Crew Car (see Official Crew Car Requirements)
- Join crew member playlists and Scheduled Events
- Behave yourself in-game (check out the guidelines)
- Helping other members
- Be active on these forums
Ways to be demoted
- Hate speech or other abusive communication (in-game or out)
- Trolling/Griefing fellow crew members
- Racing or playing dirty
- Repeated violations of the crew guidelines (sensing a theme yet?)
- Misusing these forums or Discord server
- Prolonged inactivity
- Being a fan of country music (I'm kidding, sort of)

Handling Problem PlayersThe Vainglorious is an open membership crew and community which means anyone can join. In exchange for having open membership we ask that members follow our guidelines. When a member doesn't follow our guidelines, they not only cause difficulty for other members but they run the risk of being kicked out of our community entirely. It is possible, however, that some of our members may not even be aware of our community guidelines. If you encounter a member of The Vainglorious that is actively behaving in ways that go against our guidelines, then there are a few things you should do. We rely on our members to keep us aware of any potential problems. 1. Contact Them. Since our members can come from multiple sources, they may not be aware of these forums or our community guidelines. Simply calling someone out publicly will do little to resolve the situation. Instead, if someone is going against our guidelines, send them a quick private message (every platform for GTA Online allows you to send a message to a player, and this forum as well as Discord allows you to directly, and privately, message a fellow member). Keep it short, be polite, and make it your goal to let them know about our community guidelines. With skill levels of all players in our crew, it is entirely possible that what you witnessed was not an intentional violation of these guidelines, so give them the benefit of the doubt. If they apologize and adjust their behavior, then you have done your part to help us continually improve our community and you should consider the matter closed. If they do not respond in a positive manner, however, move on to step two. 2. Keep an eye on the situation. One slipup does not necessarily mean someone is a problem for the community. After contacting the member in question, keep an eye on them if you continue to play or chat together and see how things progress. If their response to your initial message from step one above is abusive, then don't try to pursue it any further. Don't try to argue with them or call them out. Just skip to step three. If, however, you continue to encounter them and there are no further issues, then you should consider the problem resolved. If the player continues causing problems for you or other crew members, then move on to step three. 3. Contact a Commissioner. Remember that this is not the first thing you should do if you have a problem with another player. You should only contact a commissioner if your actions from the previous steps have not resolved the problem. We don't want our crew turning into a mass of people just looking for violations and then running to commissioners to rat out problem players. If the problem with another member persists, however, you should contact a commissioner (see below). As we continue to grow we will expand to have commissioners for each platform. For now, though, you can contact any of the commissioners listed below. When you contact a commissioner, we are going to need evidence of the behavior you are reporting. Screenshots of your messages, video evidence of their behavior, or anything else you can provide will be helpful in resolving an issue (nearly everyone has a phone that can take pictures and video). Remember that you should not be abusive and should not publicly call out a problem player; doing so means you're going against our guidelines as well. If you can't resolve a problem after a polite, civil message, then contact a commissioner with your evidence of the problem player. 4. Continue to monitor. A commissioner is going to contact the player you have reported in an effort to remind them of the community guidelines and be certain they have "both side of the story." The commissioner is going to try to resolve the situation similar to the actions from step one. No one is going to be immediately kicked out based on just one report. The only exceptions would be in cases of clear modding, excessive abusive language and/or hate speech, or multiple reports from multiple people over a short period of time with no sign of improvement from the problem player. It is important that you continue to monitor the problem player and report back with any further problems you see from the reported player. Rest assured that the commissioners will be looking into the situation in the meantime. CommissionersThe information below gives you multiple ways to contact a Vainglorious Commissioner. These are the people to contact if you have problems with other players, see someone actively disregarding the community guidelines, or have problems with anything in general. You can contact any commissioner, regardless of the platform they play on, to get help. To contact a commissioner via these forums, just click on their name in blue below and that will open up their profile here on the forums. Click near the top right to create a new private message that you can compose and send. If you prefer, you can contact them via their in-game messaging by using their platform ID (Xbox GT or PSN ID), via the Rockstar Social Club, or on Discord. Consequences For Problem Members
The Vainglorious Community was created to provide like-minded players and Brandon's YouTube subscribers a group of people with whom they could find community and fun in-game, free from problem players. Someone can be an amazing racer or a deadly ally to have on your side, but if they're a total dick in-game or in our various community tools, we don't want them in The Vainglorious Community. To keep the spirit of our purpose alive, we created our community guidelines. The following explains what happens to members who don't follow the guidelines and cause problems for fellow members.Regular Members
For members who have followed the necessary steps to be promoted to crew representative there are four stages to go through if a member continually violates our community guidelines:- Warning. A short message will be sent from a commissioner reminding the member of our guidelines and request to follow said guidelines.
- 24 Hour Ban. A 24 hour ban will be enacted against the member during which time they will not be allowed access to any of our community resources (these forums, Discord, etc.) nor will they be allowed to participate in crew events. Additionally, they will not be allowed to participate in Brandon's live streams.
- One Week Ban - The member will be banned for one week from all community resources, crew events and Brandon's live streams.
- Permanent Ban - The member will be permanently banned from all community resources and permanently kicked from the Social Club crew.
Each stage last for three months. For example, if someone receives a 24 hour ban and doesn't have any further issues for three months, then they drop back down to stage one. If they have another issue during the next three months, they will receive an additional 24 hour ban. If they have no issues for six months after the ban, then their slate is wiped clean and any further problems would start back at stage one.
Most problems will result in a member only going up one stage in the process. There are some extreme violations that can result in going up two stages, however. These include obvious clear disregard for the community guidelines or frequent abusive language toward another member in public or private. Further still, some issues may result in going up three stages or even an immediate permanent ban. These include extreme abusive language or hate speech, modding, and showing absolutely no interest in being a part of the community and existing just to annoy or troll our members.
New/Inactive Members
The four stages above apply to people who are members of this forum and have followed the necessary steps to be promoted to crew representative. Those who are not forum members and/or have not followed the steps to promotion will be held to stricter standards as they have given us no indication that they are interested in becoming involved in the community. Most issues will still result in a message being sent to a problem crew member, followed by a permanent ban for repeated reports. More serious issues will result in an immediate and permanent ban, without warning, because we don't want a bunch of dickheads sporting the BTYB tag.
Redemption
No punitive system should be without a way for someone to redeem themselves. If someone realizes they have done wrong, it is possible for them to return from a ban quicker (or completely in the case of permanent bans) by simply apologizing. This would give that member a second chance. They will be required to post a message on our General board explaining what they did wrong, showing that they understand why it was wrong, and apologising for their behavior. If you have been banned from the forums, contact a commissioner (see the post above this one) on Rockstar Social Club or their gaming platform to have your forum account re-instated for 24 hours so you can post an apology thread. If, after posting an apology, the member in question returns to the behavior that caused the ban in the first place, they will not receive an additional "second chance" under any circumstances.
Keep in mind, though, posting an apology does not immediately reset things back to as if nothing ever happened. You will still be at whatever level you were before for the length of time detailed above.
Banned Members and Crew Events
Officially, members who are banned cannot sign up for nor participate in crew events. If you, as an event host, choose to allow a banned member to participate in your event, then you assume the responsibility for their behavior. If the banned member does not cause any problems in your event, then nothing further will be said about it. If, however, the banned member does cause problems during your event then you, as the host, will be subject to the disciplinary measures detailed above.

Discord Text & Chat GuidelinesBecause there is more to a community than just a bunch of forums, we also provide the Discord Text & Chat server. Discord allows us all to communicate in real-time via text and voice from a computer or a mobile device (phones, tablets, etc.). Just like all of The Vainglorious Community, anyone is allowed to join. You can join by using this link: discord.gg/8puv5gv. All of The Vainglorious Community Guidelines apply for our discord server (be sure you read them all), though there are some additional guidelines to keep in mind.
Usernames/Handles
When you join the Discord server, you will be asked to create a username. You can use anything you want, within reason, but it would be very helpful if you use the same name on the Discord server that you use on these forums (and vice versa). This will make it a lot easier to for everyone to know who they are chatting with.
Access to Text & Voice
When you first join The Vainglorious Discord server, you will only have access to the #welcome chat room and you will not be able to chat or access any of the voice channels. To gain the ability to use text chat and access the voice channels, simply send a message to the Leader or one of the Commissioners and ask them for access. You can easily find these people in the list of online Discord users as they will be grouped separately from other members.
Inviting Friends
Feel free to invite your friends to join our community and our Discord server (https://discord.gg/8puv5gv). You will only be able to invite someone to #welcome, however, as that is the initial entry point for all people who are new to our Discord server. The Discord server settings will most likely not allow you to send an invite to any other channel, so please do not try. Even if your role does permit you to send invites to other channels, please do not do so. The Leader will revoke any and all instant invites created on the server that are not using the link above. Additionally, you may be temporarily or permanently banned from the Discord server or the entire Vainglorious Community if you use any other invite.
No "Recruiting"
You may not, under any circumstances, use any portion of The Vainglorious Discord server, including private messages to people you "met" through this server, to invite people to other Discord servers or similar voice & chat services. We're trying to build a community for The Vainglorious, not provide you a way to populate your own servers. You will be given one warning if it is discovered you have invited members of The Vainglorious to your own servers. After that, you will lose all access privileges (ie, banhammer!).
Use the Correct Channels
We have a lot of chat rooms and voice channels on The Vainglorious Discord server and it is up to you to make sure you're in the right one. General_Voice and #general_text are the go-to rooms when you simply want to hangout with fellow community members but you might not be in a particular game or we don't yet have a channel created for the game you're playing with other community members. Game and platform specific channels are reserved for people playing those specific games or on those platforms. Please do not use a game or channel specific platform unless you are actually playing that game or on that platform. We understand that your friends might be in a game or on a platform that you do not have but please use direct messages with those community members instead of using a voice channel for a game or platform you're not using. If you are in a voice channel that is for a specific game or platform and you're not playing that game or on that platform, a Commissioner may move you to a different channel. Repeatedly using the wrong voice channel may result in you being temporarily or permanently banned from the Discord server or the entire Vainglorious Community.
Noisy Chatters & Push-To-Talk
Not all microphones and mobile devices are created equal and some may result in your mic broadcasting a lot of background noise. Plus, some people seem to want to practically eat their microphones, resulting in everyone being able to hear every breath you take. And some people live in noisy households where there is a lot of background activity of loud TV's, other people, or other noise. Technical problems with your computer or mobile device can also cause static to be constantly broadcast. If your mic is constantly broadcasting a lot of noise when you aren't actually speaking, you may be reassigned to a PTT (or, Push-To-Talk) only role that will allow you to use voice chat only when you click the appropriate PTT key. This is not done as a punishment for anyone but done simply to keep our voice chat channels from being flooded by a ton of background noise that could render them unusable. If you are moved to a PTT role and have fixed the problem causing your mic to broadcast a lot of background noise, simply message a Leader or Commissioner and ask them to move you out of the PTT role. If you ask to be moved out of the PTT role and you have not really fixed the problem with background noise, you may temporarily or permanently lose access to all voice channels and possibly be banned from The Vainglorious Community.
No Voice Changers
This one should be obvious, but voice changers are annoying af. Don't use them. Period.
Do Not Delete Messages
Please do not delete your own messages. It can be confusing for someone who views a conversation later if portions of the conversation have been removed. It is fine to edit your messages for spelling and grammar, but do not delete them entirely or edit them for any reason other than spelling and editing. If you do, you'll most likely lose the ability to edit your messages entirely.
Accessing Restricted Channels
There are a small number of channels that not everyone can access. As of this post, those include the Private, Admin, and Brandon72MO Live Stream voice channels, and the #brandon72mo_livestream_chat channel. For the most part, these channels are role specific and you will not be able to access them without being given the proper role on the Discord server. If you are not a Commissioner or above, you will never be able to access the Admin channel. The live stream channels will have occasional temporary access granted for those people who are taking part in Brandon72MO's livestreams on PC. The Private channel will have occasional temporary access granted for people that the Leader or Commissioners need to have private conversations with. Please do not request access to a restricted channel because, well, it will not be granted. It's a "don't call us, we'll call you" sort of thing.
Livestream Channels
The livestream voice channel is reserved only for those who are actually actively playing during one of Brandon72MO's livestreams. Please do not use this room to "hangout" or try to join in on the voice chat for a livestream unless you are actually playing in the livestream or were expressly invited. If you do enter the livestream room and you're not playing in the livestream, you will be muted without warning and you may even permanently lose access to the livestream channel or The Vainglorious Discord server entirely. The livestream chat room is currently not used but it will eventually become a public room that is open only during livestreams and will be used alongside or to replace YouTube and Twitch chat. Unlike the livestream voice channel, anyone may access the livestream chat room during a livestream and take part in the chat.
